Leica SP5 ("Eagle")

The Leica SPE5 is an inverted point-scanning microscope system with an AOBS tunable beam-splitter for great flexibility with fluorophore combinations. This microscope is equipped with an automated stage that can be used for automated imaging and an incubator (temperature only). The microscope can be used for 3-channel simultaneous acquisition, and live cell dynamics (FRAM, FRET, and GCaMP) at room temperature. Please note this microscope is not suited for imaging DAPI/dyes requiring a 405 excitation, low-light fluorescence imaging, High-speed fluorescence imaging, live cell imaging requiring CO2, or samples thicker than 100um.
