UM Blaze

The Lightsheet Ultra Microscope Blaze from Miltenyi Biotec can be used with aqueous buffers and organic solvents and is equipped with a sCMOS camera. The system can be used for imaging large thick samples at high resolution with low photobleaching and phototoxicity. This machine includes lightspeed mode, allowing for faster imaging and a large imaging chamber for samples as small as organoids to as large as mice!

Capabilities

  • Imaging (multiple) small to large samples in 3D with low photobleaching and high relative speed
  • Pre-cleared sample (aqueous buffers and organic solvents with RI 1.33 – 1.57)
  • Organoids to adult mouse

Objectives:

  • 1.1X and 4X (0.6X – 10X) total range

Equipment Details:

  • Camera: 4.2 Mpx sCMOS (2048 x 2048 pixels)
  • Up to 6 light sheets (3 x 2 dual side) for optical sectioning
  • Adjustable light sheet thickness: 4 – 24 μm (NA 0.0135 – 0.135)
  • *Z-range constrained by objective working distance (≥16 mm for 1.1X, ≥15 mm for 4X)
